About Us

THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DETAILS

Our body’s way of moving is a wondrous interaction of multiple systems. Sometimes these systems work independently but more often they work collectively.

Pain from a tendinitis may very well be the result of other muscle(s) being weak(er) or joints not moving well.  While the tendinitis needs to be managed, not addressing the weak structure or stiff joint(s) could lead to recurring tendinitis.

Our job is to identify any movement or muscle impairment that can contribute to poor or painful function.

Our priority is for you to receive the best treatment approach aimed at regaining your functional independence.

  • GET BETTER using techniques that meet international
    standards
  • RECOVER FASTER finding and targeting the root cause
  • STAY HEALTHIER educating you about your condition and helping reduce relapse

Lesley Nolan
FCAMPT, BScPT

Lesley Nolan is a registered manual musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience treating orthopaedic conditions. A graduate of Dalhousie University, she earned her Advanced Diploma of Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2009 and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (FCAMPT), a distinction reflecting advanced clinical skill and training in manual therapy.

As a lifelong student of dance, Lesley developed a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of low back- and pelvic pain and dysfunction. Throughout her career, she worked with a diverse clientele, including athletes, dancers, gymnasts and individuals experiencing complex pelvic pain conditions. To further enhance her knowledge, Lesley completed her training in pelvic health physiotherapy. This highly specific training enables her to comprehensively assess and treat pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, which often contributes to persistent lumbo-pelvic pain.

In 2023, Lesley completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She integrates the principles of yoga into her clinical practice to enhance strength, restore lumbo-pelvic muscle balance and improve body awareness. Her approach emphasizes developing optimal core strength and motor control to reduce pain, improve her clients’ daily function and help achieve their highest athletic or artistic performance.

Lesley is registered to practice physiotherapy with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists. She is also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) as well as The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists.
